Please allow me to share some background information about myself for your reference. My hometown is Spartanburg, S.C. where my parents still reside. After graduation from Spartanburg High School, I attended Clemson University and graduated with High Honors in 1979 with a degree in Microbiology. One month later I entered dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine. I graduated from dental school four years later in 1983.

I have had the priviledge of practicing dentistry in several locations in South Carolina prior to starting my own practice in Laurens/Clinton, S.C. Upon graduation from MUSC, I worked in a Charleston private practice as an associate dentist. During this time, I also spent one afternoon per week as a part-time clinical instructor in operative dentistry at the dental school. Two years later, I returned to the upstate to be closer to family. I worked as an associate in a private practice in Clemson, S.C. while I lived in Greenville. Three years later, my family relocated to Laurens, where we still reside. I continued my work in the Clemson practice for six years until I opened my present practice in Laurens in 1991. My eight years of work in other practices and other locations proved to be invaluable sources of education and experience, but I have found my greatest satisfaction in dentistry in the 15 years I have practiced on my own in Laurens. I enjoy all the advances and the technology that are new to dentistry, and I can honestly say that I find my work more satisfying now than ever before.

I maintain membership in the American Dental Association, The South Carolina Dental Association, and the Piedmont District Dental Association.
